• Transplanting: Once seedlings have developed a few sets of true leaves and all danger of frost has passed, transplant them outdoors. Ensure nighttime temperatures are consistently above 50°F (10°C). Space plants 10-12 inches apart.

• Direct Sowing: You can also direct sow basil seeds outdoors after the last frost, when the soil has warmed up. Sow thinly and then thin seedlings to the recommended spacing.
